Graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1990 and the following year he won a scholarship at the Department of Gastroenterology Molinette hospital in Turin, where he began his practice in digestive endoscopy. In 1992, he worked with Prof. Claude Liguory as a fellow at the American Hospital in Paris. He was visiting professor at Georgetown University, Washington, US , and also at Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, Florida, US. He is professor in Humanitas University
Professor Alessandro Repici is the Director of the Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy Unit in Humanitas Research Hospital. he is coordinator, principal investigator and co-investigator in more than 50 studies, including phase II and III for the FDA and EMA approval of new molecules and new tools for diagnostic and operative endoscopy. The clinical and research activity was mainly aimed at the development of new endoscopic techniques, both in the diagnostic and therapeutic fields, with particular interest in the new methods of endoscopic removal of early tumor lesions and for the palliation of advanced gastrointestinal neoplasms. Important to mention is his collaboration with numerous projects in the field of endoscopy with different Italian and international centers.
Prof. Repici is an expert member of the National Institute of Health of the Italian Government, of the Publication Committee of the World Gastroenterology Association, of the Editorial Council of “Digestive and Liver Diseases”, “Frontiers of Oncology” and “Techniques of Coloproctology” . He is also associate editor of "Gastrointestinal Endoscopy", official reviewer for the European Community for medical projects supported by the European Community, founder of the website: www.webendoscopy.com and organizer of IMAGE, one of the largest European Endoscopy courses in Live, with the participation of world-class experts in gastroenterology and digestive endoscopy.
