Dr Aparna Gumma has 27 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Most recently, she practised as a Consultant OBGYN in the UK and served at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, where she was Maternal Medicine Lead. She was also the Clinical Director for postgraduate and undergraduate medical education and Senior Lecturer at Cardiff Medical University.
After earning her MD in India, Dr Aparna completed her specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (CCT) in the West Midlands, UK. She eventually obtained MRCOG and FRCOG from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, UK, and MRCP and FRCP from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. She has worked at various hospitals in the UK and has extensive experience in both Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She was involved with medical education and training of specialist registrars, junior doctors and medical students and was an RCOG college tutor. She has been a regional preceptor (RCOG) for maternal medicine, high-risk pregnancy and advanced labour ward practice. She was involved with Royal College Committees, setting up exams, and was DRCOG and MRCOG examiner.
