Chief Medical Officer of the Cardiology Service! With great pride, the Medical Management is pleased to announce that, as of August 2023, Dr. Luis Abel Gutiérrez Jaikel has been appointed as the Chief Medical Officer of the Cardiology Service at Hospital Clínica Bíblica. His specialization as a cardiologist, and his subspecialty in Interventional Cardiology and Hemodynamics, will contribute to maintaining a dynamic, agile, and safe center to care for patients at Hospital Clínica Bíblica, with the best technology and the most updated practices. Dr. Gutiérrez has been working at Hospital Clínica Bíblica since 2012, which allows him to seamlessly collaborate with the interdisciplinary team of the Cardiology Service, as well as with other departments. It is worth noting that he also serves as a professor in the Cardiology Postgraduate Program at the University of Costa Rica, an essential role for continuously training new members of the Center as well as his colleagues. Since 2015, he has been a Trainer Physician for percutaneous aortic valve replacement (Proctor) for Medtronic Inc. and Edwards Lifesciences in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. Furthermore, his experience as president of the Costa Rican Cardiology Association will foster new alliances and important partners to further develop the Cardiology Service. Dr. Gutiérrez has extensive experience in interventional, coronary, structural, and adult congenital heart disease procedures, both in the public and private sectors. It is a true honor for Hospital Clínica Bíblica to appoint Dr. Luis Gutiérrez as the Chief Medical Officer of the Cardiology Service, and we wish him the greatest success in this new stage.
